Festival of greenhouses
The Festival of greenhouses was officially born in Cerisano in the 90s with the aim of enhancing the village through art and culture. In the first editions, the Festival focuses on jazz music and author concerts, quickly becoming a fixed event for fans and artists of national level. Over the years it has expanded, including new disciplines: theatre, dance, cinema, literature, visual arts and crafts, in a creative dialogue capable of passing through generations and languages.
Today the Festival is recognized as one of the most significant cultural events in South Italy, able to attract thousands of visitors, internationally renowned artists and collaborations with important institutions. Its continued growth has made it the beating heart of Cerisano's cultural policies, anticipating with courage and vision the transformation of the village into a permanent laboratory of creativity and innovation.
For over 30 years it has therefore been the symbol of the cultural vitality of Cerisano; is not just an event but is a engine of synergies and collaborations. Around the Festival are developed innovative and experimental projects that fuel the economy of culture and promote the social and tourist growth of the territory.
With the project Cerisano Factory, the Festival becomes even more central in the development strategy of the village, transforming itself into a permanent platform of comparison and exchange, capable of generating ideas, talents and new opportunities.
Curiosity about the Festival of greenhouses
The first hint of Festival goes back to 1955 when the then parish priest of Cerisane Monsignor Francesco Fusaro decided to organize educational film screenings in the Piazza Seminario del Comune, within the Palazzo Sersale which at the time was owned by the Diocesan Seminary
