The Palazzo Sersale is the symbol par excellence of Cerisano’s history and identity. Built between the 15th and 16th centuries, it was the home of the Sersale family, one of the most influential noble houses in Calabria, which helped shape the destiny of the village for centuries. The structure is imposed for its architectural elegance: a sober and linear facade, embellished with stone portals, loggias and framed windows, living testimony of the Renaissance and Baroque tradition of Southern Italy.
Inside, the Palace retains historical environments of great charm, with vaulted rooms, frescoes, terracotta floors and original architectural details, which are now returned to the community thanks to important interventions of recovery and enhancement.
Today, Palazzo Sersale is the focus of the project Cerisano Factory, a modern cultural and creative hub that will host exhibition spaces, craft workshops, concert and conference halls, a Museum, training areas and residences for artists. Not only a place of memory, then, but a centre of innovation, art and dialogue, able to attract talents and visitors from all over Italy and beyond.
