Cerisano is renewed and looks to the future with a clear vision: become a dynamic village, a place that is not only memory and beauty, but also innovation, movement and creation. The project is part of the SWING vision Cerisano Factory, funded by the Ministry of Culture with funds PNRR – NextGenerationEU (M1C3 Line B Small Villages),
Cerisano Factory represents much more than a building or cultural project: is one shared vision, a regeneration path designed to improve the urban, housing, social, environmental and economic conditions of the village. Here, art and culture become the first tourist attraction, making Cerisano a place where you can live, create and innovate.
The focus of the project is the Palazzo Sersale, historical and cultural symbol of Cerisano, regenerated and transformed into a multifunctional cultural hub:
- Training spaces
- Conference and study rooms
- Michel Fingesten Library and Museum of Arts
- Exhibition spaces and recording studios
- Coworking, artist residence, creative workshops
An ambitious project from beyond €1.5 million, carried out with prestigious partners: the Conservatorio di Cosenza, the departments of the University of Calabria, the Pro Loco, third sector entities and private sector actors.
At the base of Cerisano Factory is the will to connect the village to the best creative and technological excellences, to attract artists, innovators, talents and new inhabitants. The project enhances and enhances reception services (infopoint, guesthouse, catering) and promotes the green mobility, to make the village more sustainable and accessible.
At the heart of the strategy is the Festival of greenhouses, historical multidisciplinary event, around which to create synergies and partnerships useful to strengthen paradigms of theculture economy, innovation and tourism.
