For five days the village of Cerisano breathed the rhythm of art, turning into an open-air theatre that has been able to combine music, entertainment and community
The 31st edition of the Festival delle Serre ended with a budget that speaks for itself: More than 20,000 visitors, fifty shows, a hundred artists and seventy technicians committed to making a unique experience that once again brought the country back to the centre of the Calabrian cultural scene.
The atmosphere that enveloped alleys and squares told a mosaic of emotions, with jazz that touched the most intimate strings thanks to the interpretations of Simona Molinari, Mario Rosini, John Patitucci, the trio Servillo-Girotto-Mangalavite and Walter Ricci, and with the theatre that alternated laughter and reflections thanks to Dario Bandiera, Maurizio Casagrande, Andrea Rivera, Paola Turci with Gino Castaldo and Paolo Conticini. Next to them, the cinema under the stars gathered families with their children, workshops and children’s shows lit the imagination of the youngest, while the DJ sets of Spiral Sound and the Agora Live concerts kept awake at night, prolonging the magic of the Festival beyond all hours.
Cerisano has once again shown his ability to welcome and transform art into a shared experience, giving visitors a journey that has passed through the flavours of traditions, the beauty of places and the joy of being together. A success that is measured not only in numbers, although extraordinary, but also in the digital echo of a community that grows and makes itself known beyond its borders: hundreds of thousands of views and interactions on Instagram and Facebook accompanied the Festival, making it an event in and out of the village that continues to enchant and amaze.
The 31st edition of the Festival delle Serre therefore leaves a profound mark, that of a country that has kept and renews its cultural vocation, that moves between memory and future, and that every summer knows how to reinvent itself as a place of encounter and beauty.
The Festival of greenhouses is funded by the Calabria Region through the funds PAC 2014/2020 action 6.8.3. "Cultural promotion events 2024" – and is part of the Cerisano Factory – Borgo Swing regeneration intervention, supported by the Ministry of Culture within the PNRR – Next Generation EU.
