The inauguration of the Michel Fingesten Museum marks a moment of great importance for the community of Cerisano. In a village that has always combined tradition and innovation, the birth of a museum space represents not only a cultural goal, but also an act of responsibility towards its own heritage.

Dedicated to an emblematic figure of the European twentieth century, the new museum proposes itself as a living place of memory and creativity, a garrison of civil values, freedom and artistic expression.

Designed not only as a container of works, but as a generator of dialogue, reflection and knowledge, the museum will be open to citizenship and the world. On the occasion of the presentation conference on 18 June, will also be presented the first edition of the International Ex Libris Competition "Michel Fingesten", promoted by the Municipality of Cerisano in collaboration with the Calabrese Institute for the History of Anti-Fascism and Contemporary Italy.

The competition, aimed at Italian and international artists and artists, invites you to explore the engraving and digital techniques for the realization of ex libris: small works on paper, symbols of belonging and cultural identity, able to tell, through signs and images, the personality of the reader. The Cerisano Factory – Borgo Swing project, in which the Michel Fingesten Museum fits, is supported by the Ministry of Culture within the framework of the PNRR – Mission 1, Measure 2, Intervention 2.1 "Attractiveness of historic villages", funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
